I have been playing the downloaded version, with its updates, and have now received the disc. Do I really need to install from the disc now tho?? Is there a risk of losing my updates or anything, and having to start those from scratch again? Thanks in advance.

AFAIK, the disc contains the basic 3.7.0 installer.  If you already used a eDownload to install the game, you don't need to re-install with the copy provided on the disc.

I have the original disc.  Unless they made a second print run, the disc contains none of the patches.
