Be damned if I can find it in the manual so

If I rent a province to another Nation, say for 2yrs, what happens to the resourses prodused, do I get them or does the Renting Nation, + if a developement is underway at the time of renting out, will it continue to be developed during the period of Rent.

This ones really bugging me, how do I build new Diplomats, I've got a Court x5 so ...!??

Oh and while I'm here how do I build Merchant ships, none of my ports show the Icon for building them.

Any help appreciatd.

you on Simple or Advance Ecc ?

you are going to need a lot of textiles for either one of them

(in the province screen, open up the production screen and it should show what could be build there, even if you do not have enough resouces to really build it)

As to how to build a diplomat... if you meet the requirements it should show up at the far right side of the list of buildable units when you click on a province... but keep in mind they are expensive (and I think in the advance economy require textiles), so if you don't have the money (and resources) you won't see it listed even if you meet the Court requirement.

Loaned provinces give their resources to the temporary owner for the period of the loan. I would expect developments started to continue to build to the original schedule unless affected by changes in assigned labour. The same should apply to any units in the build sequence.

Have just started the sceanerio, 1803, Russia, Advanced Eccon (5 mnths in) so looks like I'll just have to wait till textiles build up, got 18 at moment (bummer the province I'm thinking of renting out is high(ish) in textiles ... Sheee it's tough at the top![X(] )
 
I didn't get any privateeers at game start, again not showing as an option do they need textiles too?

There's a chart in the PDF Appendix [Light] that lists all the units and thier resource requirements (page 44) .  It shows that the privateers need 150 Timber but no textiles.

Textiles are so precious that you would be better hanging onto that province even if you are short of funds. Good country though to play.

Btw I haven't forgotten about the pbem, it seems ages now; maybe one in COGEE too?

Yer it sudenly hit me after I had accepted the money, might have been better in the long run to hang on to the textile [8|]  still, I was bloody short at the time, like negative!
 
Been a crash course in learning CoG so I can take over Russia in the Multi-player so I ain't had a look at other countries yet, but in the 1803 Russia seems to be about bankrupt!
 
Can I hang fire re CoG PBEM for a bit, not sure how the time flow will work, but I have kept a slot for our FoF when the patch finally comes out.
