Happy 20th Anniversary AABL

I have reached the end of my 20th season with the All American Baseball League. I have enjoyed the experience tremendously and would/have recommend this game to any that show interest.[:)]
Now that I have 20 seasons worth of stats to play with I am going to do a comparison of PS stats to real life (RL) stas just for fun. This is not an attempt in any way to paint PS/Shaun in a negative light, just want to get that straight right off. In fact I am not even comfortable making that last statement but I want to avoid anyone thinking that "PS isn't accurate enough because Joe Blow played 12 yrs hit 400 HRs in real life but in PS he played 8 years and hit only 250 HRs" kind of discussions.
This is a celebration thread and I like stat analysis, especially baseball stats. PS is easily one of my top 5 favorite games of all time. I can't say it enough. [&o]
So, after all the disclaimers I am wondering what would be the best way to do a comparison? As I started out in this effort it became apparent that:
1. Pitcher's lifetime numbers are greatly affected by the quality of team they played for. For instance, if Koufax had played for Houston instead of LA back in the 60s, there is a chance that most of America would not know who he was. Cy Young arm on a last place team would hurt his recognition factor and reduce the number of lifetime wins.
2. Position players have some deviation in the PS # of yrs plated vs. RL # of yrs played. So that throws off the total number of HRs, RBIs, etc.
What I am thinking is that for pitchers; compare lifetime ERA (PS v. RL), # of wins divided by # of yrs played, same with losses.
For position players use lifetime BA, # of HRs divided by # of yrs played, not sure if RBIs would work because that is somewhat dependent on having other players on base and that depends on the quality of team played on.
What do you guys think? Am open to all ideas.
Think this is crazy?
One more time...thanks Shaun for a great game and a lot of fun.
