"Gold" Edition?

I'm thinking of purchasing this game, but I see at the Slitherine website that a new "gold" edition is coming out on March 20th in the UK.
I think I should hold off for now and purchase the new edition when it is released in the US? Any info on this?

Hey! The upgrade to Gold is Free! I have both Matrix and Slitherine 1.12 (Gold) - Its way Cool!

Hi,
I bought the game awhile ago and just came back to it to get into some PBEM - haven't played it much.
I see that there is a 1.07b version avail on Matrix downloads.
There is also reference to a 1.12 (gold) version which seems to come in both matrix and slitherine flavors (not sure what difference is).
Is v.1.12 the latest version or is 1.07b the latest version? It seems like 1.07b might have fixed some Java problem so I don't want to install 1.12 iv v1.07b is actually the right one (latest).
I've also heard about a popular 1.12 BJS mod. I would like to play the mod I think - have heard good things about it for sure.
Can someone pls describe the correct patch sequence if I'd like to end up w/ the mod, latest version of code? It's confusing.

1.12 includes all earlier impovements, including the 1.07 beta changes so yes you should update.
