Repair Ship Time Estimate

I scanned a few posts, and I am still little fuzzy on repair time of ships, basically the CV Invisible is damaged at 22sys, docked at Colombo. Is there any way to estimate time to repair the ship? My problem is I have 2 carriers, one headed to Brisbane with 17sys damage, and Invisible that has been in port 5 days and the SYS damage has not moved.
Possibly because I have a CL with 30sys damage sitting in port also, or maybe 5 other ships have 1 sys damage are being repaired first, any insights please?

IF...you have a HQ, and IF you can keep 20k+ supply at the repair yard you *might* get 1 point per day. But that is still a big IF. Some days you will repair additional points, some days you won't repair any points.
The only thing you can really do to speed repairs is put a HQ at your repair yard base and keep it well supplied. Also having a larger repair yard can help. As Japan, you typically want to increase the size of your major repair ports early on, not sure if you can do that as Allies though.

Allies can't increase the size of repair yards, they also have fewer naval hqs. Clearing out your other damaged shipping will allow for the accumulation of repair points.

I'm the last guy to ask about rules . . . iirc when you 2x durability you get a die roll for damage reduction in addtion to the usual crew repairs. Where's Feinder when you need him?

I figure its going to be a few months, but was just curious how much (max) sys repair damage can be done per day, maybe a chart sheet I can print.
I would say based on parameters that the port is over 20k supply, at least 1 HQ, 50+ repair points available, and 1 ship in port at a time.

The rolls allowed are for repair yards and the crew, so the max per day is two.

Thats all I needed to know, means 17/2 about 9 days to repair give or take, appreciate it anarchy thank you!

Well, the theoretical maximum repair points/day is 3 (crew repair, port repair, and shipyard repair), but I wouldn't bet on that happening very often.

And I will be shocked if your carrier repairs 17 system damage points in 9 days. My experience has been that 17 damage points in a carrier will take something more like a month to repair... but then I don't have much luck with die rolls in general...

regardless how long she's in port I am not leaving a port unless my carriers 100% repaired or a situation that calls for a damaged carrier to leave port fast.
To bad die roll can't fix up a carrier in 72 hours like a certain lady Yorktown.

I remember Dtravel saying the max was 4.... repair yard 2 (1 chance AM and 1 chance PM) port 2 (1 chance AM and 1 chance PM). Very unlikely though.

Yeah read that, didn't help me with estimating time for repairs, reason im asking is simply I am starting an offense in 2 weeks wanted to know if the carrier would be ready for sea.

Don't count on it. In my PBEM its nearly the end of July and Fuso went into the repair yard at 65 system damage in Mid-April. It's still at 39 system damage.

Yikes, surely won't help I don't have an AR either, let alone 4 to help stem repairs, best idea would simply put her out to sea and hope for best, I can't sit around and not go on offense right now.

I'm sorry, but I just can not resist.. If the carrier is Invisible, how did it get damaged?????[8|]
Please don't shoot at me. I love puns, feghoots, malapropisms, etc... But, I do wash my hands after enjoying them...

Thats what I wanta know, if she's so invisible how come it only took 1 betty to make it through CAP and ruin my day.
Come to think of it, I can't imagine the pilot realizing he's only one to make it through the CAP and has to face all the AAA of a battlegroup, or the awe
of the entire battlegroup looking at 1 aircraft.
