Difficulty Settings...

I would like to know exactly what are the benefits at each level of difficulty for the AI or Human player for both the Game Difficulty and the Combat Difficulty.

By just going with what’s in the manual I don’t have a clue what these entail and can’t fairly judge how I’m doing in relation to the AI bonuses.

I was playing at the normal level for both game and combat and I had assumed (my mistake…) that that meant no bonuses to the AI… so much to my surprise when I couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t doing as much damage in combat as the AI units I finally checked the combat reports and noticed that the AI was getting bonus damage… I’d love to know just how much of a bonus it gets at each level before I start another game.

7) Difficulty: The player can choose how difficult the game is at the strategic level. Each level above Normal gives the AI players more resources, military experience, and other material benefits; levels below “Normal” give human players more resources.
8) Combat Difficulty: The player can choose how difficult the game is in combat. Higher levels make AI units fiercer and more deadly in combat.

The AI bonuses are spread out in many different areas of the game; it is difficult to summarize them all.

Drat... ok...

Can you at least tell me for game and combat difficulties which ones give no bonuses (or the least) to both AI and Human so I can work from there? (Assuming there such ones...) [:)]
