Dear jjdenver,
I propose a game with Germany and Great Britain at +50% production. This gives the Axis an advantage, but not as great a one as a straight 50%. All other nations are at normal production quotas.
The following rules on shipment of PP :
Beligerent convoys to beligerent - Ok
Beligerent convoys to neutral - Ok
Neutral convoys to neutral - Ok
Neutral convoys to beligerent -Nope, except Lend lease.
The production change tries to address the imbalance that seems to plague the Axis. It might not work, then again it might.
If you would like to play given this setup, please pick your side. We can choose neutrals to control later.
Chuck

Hi,
Sure that sounds good. I'd like to try Axis.
Can you answer a few game questions if you know the answers? I haven't been able to find these while reading the forum.
1) Can you transport troops into a mulberry like a regular port?
2) Can a mulberry be destroyed by naval units or only by land units?
3) Can transporting troops ever be intercepted by naval units if they move port-to-port and don't stop in any naval areas?
4) Is using air units as general air support (i.e. bombing front line enemy units every turn) inefficient? It seems to be really expensive since the air units are constantly getting damaged by AA fire. Or are air units really only useful to take key hexes like invasion hexes, key cities, or river crossings? I've been puzzled by this while playing against the AI a little.
5) If a leader's unit is destroyed do you ever get that leader back?
Thanks for the help.
I haven't played PBEM so I'm not sure how to set up countries - do I set only Germany, Italy, UK, USSR, US, France to human and everything else to AI?
Thx

Good morning John P,
1) Troops into a Mulberry must be a "Yes" but I have never seen a Mulberry used.
2) I do not know, but I imagine only land units. I think Mulberries "fade" away given time.
3) From SuD, it appears not.
4) Players choice I guess, and most players think it is inefficient. But for that special hex, air superiority is very nice indeed.
5) Arnold knows the answer to this one! "They'll be back".
Slovakia goes to you at the start. The Germans often take Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria too.
The Allies usually take USA, Poland, Belgium and the Netherlands.
Spain, Portugal and Norway are questionable. I propose we allow any country at 50% or over in "entry" status to be "F1"ed to the player exercising the diplomacy.
If this sounds good the send me a first turn thus :
Player 1 : ger ita slo - hun rom bul
Player 2 : gb fra pol - net bel usa
Lets have a fun war!

Ok that sounds good. I'll start it up.
Another question that I thought of though - hope you don't mind these questions. Is there any political repercussion from an early attack on Netherlands or Belgium?
Also is there any weather in the game? Doesn't seem to be.

No repercussions other than world wide shock and disgust, being branded "Hun" and "Nun killer".
The visibility range for the game is usually 4 hexes.
No weather other than the one turn months in the winter season. And, of course, the effects of General Mud, and General Frost in the 1941 Russian winter.

Acccording to another thread, transporting units through a mulberry is not allowed. Mulberries are only for supply.
