I'm getting an error message at the start of trying to run the game:

PCKharkov.exe- Common Language Runtime Debugging Services
Application has generated an exception that could not be handled
Process id=0xe50(3664), Thread id=0xd04(3332)

I have windows XP and plenty of system. The game ran fine on my last computer. My present one is an upgrade.

When the game installed, did you allow it to update both .Net 1.1 and DirectX?

If not, uninstall and reinstall, and allow the updates to take place.

Do you have any mods installed?

Otherwise, Erik or someone else will be by to help you shortly, so don't lament.

There is also a log file created in the Panzer Command Kharkov log directory. the name reflects the date. you might look at it, and Erik may ask you to post it. It contains error messages the game generates when it has a problem.

Thanks,
Rick

The previous suggestions are good ones, could you also post your DxDiag as well as your log file?

Got it! I didn't check the Install DirectX because I thought I didn't have to, checking my dxdiag. Why is that? One should always get the DirectX if offered by a game?

Sometimes, especially for an older game, you might have a later version of DirectX already installed.

Did that get it running?

Thanks,
Rick
