loss of glory bug?

Over the last two moves, despite that the glory history shows only positive gains in glory, my glory went doen by -100 on each of the two turns. On the move before that, it showed 3 losses of -40 for a total of -120, and said that I had violated some treaty, but I have no treaties that give me any obligations. But I had just won a surrender from Austria, so perhaps I was being penalized for sending armies through territories that I had just won? If that is the case, it doesn't explain the -200 glory loss of the last two moves. In 3 moves where all I did was win battles, my glory plummeted by over 300 points to top glory-getter to bottom of the heap.[:(]

I doubt it is a bug, though it may not be clearly documented in the manual. I broke some trade deals and that caused my glory to plummet. War against a nation with a royal marriage could also do it. Maybe other stuff I am not yet aware of too.

I am now below -1200 in glory, and each turn I am losing 3 to 4 times -40 glory for 120-160 glory loss for violating treaties that I have no idea of. I am not moving over territories of other countries. I am sieging two Naples territories for over a year, but I am at war with them, so that should not be the cause.Last move I touched absolutely nothing except running around the center of France with the Grande Armee after a Russian unit that refuses to fight (I am at war with Russia), and I still got -40 glory for violating a treaty!

This is driving me crazy![:@]If I am to lose more glory each move than I can make in a year, the program should at least tell me which treaty I am violating.[:-]

I have also given up on using forage and just pay the penalty for using supply depots. I got tired of spending a half hour each move micro-managing forage and occasionally losing 5000 men because I overlooked something.

I'm going to go play NHL 2009 to cool off...[8|]

I do believe this is a bug.
Here is additional information that might help identify what is wrong.

Just before the first loss of 4x40=160 glory loss, I had CTD just as the victory screen for a major victory over Prussia (including a surrender I think). The game was still in the bottom bar but would not come back when I clicked on it. When I did cntr-alt-del the popup said that the game was not responding, but when I told it to kill the program, instead then the game came back! So I continued, with the result that we know.

Another possibility is that I have been at war with Naples for some months and sieging two of their cities for many months. I didn't check if Naples is allied with anyone else, but when the problem began I had surrender treaties with Austria and Prussia and was at war with Russia. So the question is: do I lose glory by going to war or violating the territory of a nation that has an alliance or treaty with another nation with whom I have a peace treaty? In other words, if I have a surrender treaty with Austria and Naples has an alliance or treaty with Austria, do I get a glory penalty for going to war with Naples or violating their territory because Austria is prevented by my treaty from enforcing their agreement to go to war with me if Naples is attacked?

The first thing you describe doesn't sound related.  I will sometimes get a window issue if I alt-tab but not sure if that's what caused your game to hang momentarily.

Treaty defaults only happen with major nations so Naples wouldn't be the issue either.  You do lose glory for declaring war on a minor however, just not every turn.  So the bug is that you are getting a glory penalty for something not directly caused by you but it's difficult to tell what exactly caused your particular issue.  It sounds like the same bug as reported earlier by others and is being worked on.
