RKO Radio Newsflash:
Landings across the pacific on December 7th. Wake, Java, several islands of the Philippines and the Bismark Sea. Japs even land near Singapore in an attempt to isolate British forces.
USN socked in at Pearl Harbor, air raid on the US Pacific Fleet aborted by serious thunderstorms. CVs reported by air patrol northeast of Oahu. However, para drop on Clark Field, PI smashed by defenders.
Repulse damaged by sub entering Singapore Harbor.
News reports suggest US CL Boise may have been taken by surprise.
Australian Government shocked by landings a Rabul and surrounding islands.
Many reports of sinking merchant vessels across the pacific. This appears to be onset of unrestricted attacks against US, British, Dutch, and ANZAC forces. No reports of activity in Manchuria reported by Russian forces.
