Commanders Edition?

Hi: I haven't looked into harpoon for some time (have the old harpoon2)
Have 3 questions.
First - as near as I can tell the commanders edition is an upgrade from H3 which was an upgrade from h2? I want to ensure I try the most advanced build.
One of the things I found lacking from h2 was the ability to land & move troops.
This can now be done with this version if I understand the summary correctly ?
I downloaded the demo but the file won't extract - is this due to the time limit discussed in a previous thread ?
Thanks for any info
Mark

Hi Mark,
First, Harpoon (Classic): Commander's Edition is an upgrade from HC97, HC2002, HC Gold, ... so is part of the original series of computer adaptations. Harpoon 3 ANW is from the other branch (Harpoon 2, Harpoon 3, Harpoon 3 ANW). Both HCE and ANW continue to be updated and improved so it is hard to say which is the most advanced build.
You cannot (yet) land troops in either game, my crystal ball says you'll get that in ANW first. However, land units can and do move in HCE, something that doesn't (yet) happen in ANW.
I'll upload the demo installed unzipped right now and reply to the thread with the URL at that time. I have no ideal why it won't extract for you. The current demo doesn't expire for 11 months.

A demo is also available for ANW in case you would like to compare and ensure that you are getting the version you seek:
