Supply bug

It is December 1807.
Russia invaded Prussia just to be halted at the door of Berlin.
During the reinforcement phase the prussian player managed to cut russian over-extended supply lines, according to the rules (10.3.3).
Supply Chain Definition
A “supply chain” is a series of one major power’s depots that are placed no more than two areas apart and lead back to a supply source of that major power.
A “valid” supply chain is one where the intervening areas between any of a supply chain’s depots are not blocked by the presence of unbesieged enemy corps, garrisons, guerrillas, cossacks and/or freikorps (EXCEPTION: these enemy forces do not block an area if that area also contains an unbesieged friendly corps or garrison).

No way.
The program refuses to apply properly the rules.
Between two russian depots there are two areas connecting them.
In one area there's a prussian corp (unbesieged) and in the other one there is a prussian garrison (unbesieged).
The supply chain should be broken, but an annoying bug permits russian supply to go through.
Marshall we need help!
I'm not able to attach any file so I will ask to one of my game counterparts.

Here it comes the Russian file.
It is Russian reinforcement turn:
The Russian depot in Area 764 (just north ov VarsaW, in Masovia) is in supply chain, but the Prussian corp in Thor
and the unbesieged Prussian garrison in Varsaw cut off the depot in Area 761 from supply chain, ultimately
leaving the Russian Army in Kurstin (just east of Berlin) out of supply.

However, Russia can place reinforcement in Kurstin (we still have to check if he can als forage there).
I suspect the problem could be that the validity of a supply chain is not checked frequently enough...

Hey guys:

I took a look here and it is a clear violation! Looks like Warsaw is blocking as you say and it should not (???). I will NOT be able to add this into 1.06 at this point (She's already on her way out the barrel) and have not been able to fix yet. The problem exist in the EXE and not in your save game files so I cannot alter your save game file and fix this. You may need to make sure the Russian player understands that he/she is out of supply for now! Maybe not allow him to reinforce and pull back next turn? I can move the units back if you want?

Hi Marshall, thanks for you answer.

Our Russian player is a fine and sporty gentleman, so he will not reinforce or supply forage, even if the bug would allow him, so no problem for our game.

Just posted the bug so that you can try to fix it for 1.07, cutting enemies out of supply is one of the joys of EIA, and it is a pity if the game does not allow you this tactic keeping supply chains alive when it should not.

BTW: if you put your hands back on supply, could you consider reintroducing the EIA optional rule of maximum 4 corps supply per depot? It is a real big stack killer, and indeed I am seeing too many large stack around lately, which is unrealistic. Thanks

I found the problem with this code and it is fixed in 1.07!
I can look at the supply max option BUT I cannot do at this time. I have this on my wish list to look at later!
Appreciate the help!
