I downloaded the longest day, and tried find some opponents. Unfortunatly I do not find partners which have the same version.

Many have "original cc5" Version 5.01 which does not work with 5.50.00 - the CC5 of longest day.

Is there a way to get them work?

you could either try game spy. There should be some players that already have the new version. Or check BHQ which is provided with TLD.

give it a few days, as the TLD was just released.

Unfortunately no.  The many changes to the engine mean that the original CC5 game and the re-released version can not connect for multi-player games.
