I just bought this game and patched it to .44. I went to load a scenario and noticed that the last 4 options, Caribbena Basin, South Atlantic, South Africa, and The Middle East have 0 scenarios in the battleset. Were they removed with the new patch? Or was there an error in the patching process?

Well spotted! in fact those battlesets you mention are brand spanking new with better textures. All they need are some scenarios making for them, which I am pretty sure you can find some user made scenarios at Harpgamer.

As a part of this, there is also a "battleset builder" as part of the patch, which allows you to create your own complete battlesets, with whatever map you would like to have displayed.

So dont worry this is not an error, just some nice additions to the original game

Would use the Scen Editor except that I have Vista 64 and I don't want to shell out for a VM.

No need for VMware, go grab yourself a copy of Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 from the Microsoft website, it doesnt cost a penny! load XP into that and off you go! (If I understood you correctly)

I am not sure about that, I have seen some scens with F22s and F18f's but i'll be buggered if I can remember which ones they were.

As far as I know the only new scens that came with the patch are Westpac 2.0..

However, you will be totally spoilt for choice when it comes to scenarios right here

now that is what you call jumping right in way over one's head [:)] but it certain is a tour de' force.

I just checked, my 2nd war between the states scen has those platforms in a USA vs USA slugfest.  I may just have to play it with 2009.036 and see how well it plays these days.
