Hey guys,
This may be a repeat question but I did not see it anywhere. Sorry if it is.

How does the game know how many purchase points to assign for the computer? Is it based off of my initial purchase points or is it based on my current core value? Does the computer modify its purchase points so that it can have a chace against my units as i do upgrades?

Thanks,
Irish

Irish,

As long as you have the computer build points set at 'XXX' in the preferences menu, its initial points are based on yours. It will get (I believe) 1:1 on a meeting engagement, 2:1 on an advance/delay, and 3:1 on an assault. As far as its points increasing with the value of your core force, I too am very interested to know the answer to that! I suspect it does, but do not know for sure. Anybody?

While set to "XXX", the computer buys in relation to the current "worth" of you core force.

Things can get pretty ugly in generated campaign, e.g. if you start out as the Germans against Poland with 3000 points and keep ugrading all the time ..
While repair/refit points in generated campaigns have been adjusted (downwards) with v7, you'll easily end up with a core of 5000 or more points - and the AI will get russkies for discount prices worth of 10k..15k to assault you ..

Because of low country training, he can throw a dozend T-34 at your Tiger than, and while he's crews are crappy, he can replace them.
Your Tiger crew is elite by then .. and if you have to replace them, you'll get lousy country training values as well ...
