Try to let the computer fight it out?

I have on a couple of occasions started the grand campaign with the intention of letting the computer do what it is going to do on every turn for both sides with no interuption from myself....last part was the key, I always end up getting involved. Starts with seeing a single AC group with a planned route right through occupied Japanese space and goes from there.

Just curious if anyone has ever let it play out and what the results were.

When I first got the game I did it by accident.  Kind of educational for a newbie.

That was my plan, see what the computer does in terms of movements, emphasis that sort of thing. This was of course before I found this forum and all the great knowledge it contains!
