So far, so good here. I was able to create an association, get through the draft, and I'm currently simming the first season.

As Hard Sarge pointed out, I was surprised to find that the download file was much smaller - 161mb instead of 208mb. I now realize that is because the player photos are not included in the download anymore. I think the player photos were the source of some of the issues people were having.

Hard Sarge, check your PM. I sent you a copy of my wowctl2.dll file. Maybe copying this over yours will fix your install - maybe not.

Yes, I removed the player pics for now.

Try uninstalling, deleting that file from your Puresim folder and then re-install.

Shaun-

I just installed the RC3a over RC2 and all works fine. Would that make sense? It says I'm running version 1.74. Should I have all the new features?

Hey Skrabecs1 ... Yes, you have done everything correctly and have all the new features ... by the way, are you enjoying the game and how is it treating you?

Looking good so far, except I've lost my first two games. No crashes, no weirdness. I really like the era-specific salary model. In 1939, it ranges from $860 to $197,800, with ten players making the maximum. The top TEAM payroll is $1.3 million (no surprise, it's the Yankees).

[:)]... Yea KG ... Tell me, are they in first place ? [:D] ... Any way mate, did you find the game alot more challenging - with the purer curve of that era finances - on target with a limited payroll ... I love it! ... I actually started mine back in 1900 just to see the Association all the way through with some of the smaller guys set at 50$ to 12,000 dollars with a million dollars payroll ... absolutely more challenging and more gratifying ... and I'm having a ball, with that in mine, I also find the managerial more challenging than before ... Thanks, Shaun for enlighten us with the gift of a game that brings us back more than ever for the love of our favorite past-time - BASEBALL ...

Hey Mates ... I made a mistake by stating the average payroll was a million, when in fact the average team payroll is 34,000$ - THAT's what make managing the team that much harder ...

Jeepers, I would do it for free just to don on the pro uniform and and be a "Don Bailor" over the plate and get a shot to trot over to first plate [:D]

Hey Shaun, can I just install this version RC3a right over my existing version from last year (1.72, I think)? Or do I need to do a complete uninstall/reinstall? Just afraid to lose my license key in case RC3a doesn't install or open.
Thanks,
Marshall

Hey Mates ... For those of you who do not understand about the game version 1.72 and the license key, must remember that the 1.72 game is now void and became the BEST DARN FREE GAME of any sport!!! just follow the steps that Shaun has laid out and you'll enjoy the game as much as me ...
