Any comments on the new download? Just curious if anybody has noticed any AI improvements.
The in-game AI manager is very good. The SOB calls pitch-outs just when I send a speedster down to 2B, and often pulls off double-plays on me. It knows when to call the hit & run or sac bunt, and when to pull a faltering starter.
Contrary to some folks' beliefs, the AI does NOT get a bonus in hit percentages.
The AI GM is NOT a pushover in trades. You must give up value to get value. This may change as it gets closer to the trade deadline, especially if a rebuilding team decides to "dump salary".
This may be considered a weakness, but the AI will still play its best lineup, despite fatigue. This may cause injury issues as the season progresses.
