Some questions on Generals

1. Does their strategic morale value add to units morale in combat
The manual appears to have the strategic attributes affect other abilities in tactical combat, but I can't find specifically that the strategic morale value is added to the units a General (depending on his number of stars) can affect. For instance a 3-star adding a strategic morale bonus to ALL army units in a tactical battle. I have assumed this is so however?
AND
2. do consecutive General's bonuses stack?
It appears they don't is why I ask when I assumed they would - why have the heirachy otherwise.
I had a battle recently where I had a four star general with a moral bonus of 1.2 and then had a corp within the army, with a 3 star general with a moral bonus of .8 in that corp
My infantry were entering the battle with a base morale of 3.5, yet only seemed to be fighting with morale of 4.6-4.7, I had expected 5.5 (the combined bonus of both generals).
AND
3. I expect that if you have two generals that can influence a container that only the best one puts his stats forward?
AND
4. So if you have two two-star generals in a corp only the best one will influence all units, does the second 2-star only benefit a unit he is physically attached to in the combat?
AND
5. A 1 star general appears to add his morale bonus to the division he is attached to in combat, but what about the 2 star commanding the corp, that also gets attached to a unit? Does he give his morale bonus a second time - once at corp level and again at divisional?
