Artillery does scatter. The red target markers do not. But the beaten zone does. I just took out my own Tiger with 105mms in storming the Octiabr'skii State Farm. The artillery landed short about 150 meters. So don't think you have precision control.

Yeah I've been hit with friendly fire.
I don't do that anymore.
I thought it was 100m. You got a 150m friendly?

The other day I had some barrage-chasing Pz-IVs get pounded while ~150-200m from the target markers. I think that the fire had been 'corrected' on to nearby enemy units, and my armour got tangled up in it. I was fortunate enough not to lose any units.

I just LOS'd it and it was 155 meters. [:(]
These were veteran artillery units too. Sometimes I skimp on artillery by giving green artillery units. I wonder if they are more prone to scatter than veteran or elite?
One more interesting thing that happened in this battle. One Mark IV lost its main gun and commander but didn't bail out. But the machinegun still works. So it goes around machinegunning enemy infantry.

That is cool and rare in the game. I don't like when a 251 loses its "main gun" and then abandons. It would probably still be in the fight (unless there were real
gore problems and ) --just not as a 'first line' assault vehicle.
