Has anyone else noticed that John Pope and Joseph Johnston's pictures look nothing like those two did during the Civil War? (I'm almost tempted to say Pope's is just a mistake, because I've been unable to find a picture where Pope looks like that.)
I tried replacing them and failed. Has anyone done this already by any chance?

I think the only two people who can answer that question are Gil or eric. Maybe a post in the general forum? I don't think either stop by here much.

Well, this is a mod I'm trying to do or looking to see if others have done.
It seems in the right place.

yes, it's in the right place I was just suggesting that either of those two can point you to the right files to mod.

Thanks for the heads-up. There's always a chance the photos are wrong -- I think that a few errors have been found.
As for how to make the change, Pixelpusher (= graphics guy) once posted the file specs in this modding sub-forum, I believe. If you do a search for posts by him in here it should turn up.

Johnston's photo is not wrong. It's just a picture of him after the war (it's a famous picture I think). He's much older in it than he should be.
Pope's picture, I think, is wrong. I don't think that's John Pope (I can't find that picture anywhere using google and it looks nothing like the beards he sported during the war).
I'll do a search and see if I can't fix at least Pope.

Well then, maybe show us some pics that could replace the current one? With so many files to manage I can see how easy it would be to mix one up.

Well this is the image traditionally associated with General John Pope.
