Cannot execute commands on new computer

Just bought this game 3 weeks ago, and it's been running fine. Then my computer died yesterday, and I went and bought a new machine running Vista Home Premium 64-bit. Reloaded game onto that from Matrix website. Running version ...044, the newest AFAIK.

On new machine, I can't complete commands, because the dialog boxes that allow me to enter details of a command don't appear.

Examples:
1. I select a base and order 'launch' aircraft
a) if I order an 'attack', the dialog box to select a target doesn't appear. And even though I can select an enemy target with the cursor, I can't confirm that target by clicking 'ok' in a box and get to the screen where I select planes to use in the attack.
b)If I order a ferry, I can select a friendly base with my cursor, but the diolog box that let's me say 'ok' never opens, so I never get further.
c)If I order 'patrol', I ca click on the map a place a cross hair, but again, I never get to click 'ok' and go further into the details of what I want to do.

I've tried just hitting 'enter' on the assumption it means 'ok' but that didn't work. Also, I can't 'back out' of the command by hitting escape, I'm hung up in that command until I exit the game.

This is a simple fix.  Just grab and run this utility.  Everything should be restored to full function.

Thanks, that works.

Another question about scenario editor, which doesn't even open for me on the new machine...

I saw somewhere else comments about a virtual machine and 32 bits....

So here's the question. Is scenario editor something I can copy on its own to my laptop, which IS 32 bits, then save the scenario to a flash drive, and bring it back to the game on my new desktop box?

Would that be overly complex to do, or not allowed?

You can install the games on as many computers as you own with the same serial number. So, go ahead and install it to your laptop, write up a new scenario, and then transfer it back to your Vista machine. It will be no problem. I look forward to trying out your new scenario!
