Any news on the TCP/IP front? Any idea on when it might be added to the game?

Thanks.

I pop up ths one.

I would like TCP/IP too.

I have a question if TCP/IP is implement :

Can we have Face to Face like political negociation (ie immediate reaction to minor aggression as opposed as pre-set definition) Offering of a peace that can be accepted or rejected live (again not pre-set). Same thing for naval interception, no more give order to fleet, I really hate that (but understand that is needed for PBEM but only for PBEM).

Can the uncontrolled Major Power Rule be implemented?

Probably not at this point. You could IM someone BUT this would still be turn based.
UMP like rules could be implemented but this would be down the road.

Just for the sake of completness. In Face to Face, it would be nice to have a real combine movement.

Marshall, I don't ask real time, only immediate exchange. Just more exchange of imput possible by a TCP/IP live game. Thought I understand that it will be way down the road.

For the UMP it seem very important as it will be a viable alternative to AI in multi-player (really a good thing...)

Understood! Actual combined movement may have been easier had I started that wa as opposed to lending of units! :-0

Youpi. I got a good return here :)
Though forced lending of unit is not in the game, is it?

Well it is hard to make all good decision. Now, having see the developpement of several game that for boardgame adaptation, I think that it is better to begin with TCP/IP to stay close to the FtF flavor then make modification for email play (I think of a game from a competitor who did this way).

No forced lending is not in the game.
