Looks like the vast Russian territory can no longer be conquered in 2-3 turns resulting in a more historical feel of the long front line. Curious how it plays out [:)]

What exactly is the idea of a back-up capital (Perm) - Does Germany have to take both Perm and Russia until the Russians will give up?

My brother and I have just finished our first set of PBEMs, playing two games concurrently as each side. We seem to feel like if you play the allies at least average, you really can't lose. These updates seem awesome, but they all seemed geared to shift balance to allies. What do we not get: full understanding of the changes or how axis had decided advantage in previous version?

Thanks!

A fall back position near the Urals for the Soviet seat of goverment has shown its face in other games, so I wanted to add it here too. I have AV set high enough that Moscow alone will not cause AV under normal circumstances. However, if the Germans get all the way to Perm, I decided it was appropriate to reward them with an additional 5 VP's. This can, in most cases, then cause AV as long as the Japanese are at the same moment doing well.

Still a few months before I can play again and I am having heavy AWD withdrawal symptoms! I can't wait to give the new version a try!
