Can someone tell me a bit about this game please ? I haven't played many of this type of game before, played Waterloo & Eastern Front on an Atari many years back & thats about it,but have time on my hands now & looking for something to occupy the "little grey cells".

I am thinking of buying this game but I am not into moving individual soldiers or squads etc.,(nothing against it,but just not my interest),I am looking for games at Company level or above, can this be done in this game?

Thanks for any info
Alan

This is mostly a squad level game with an added strategy component. But mostly squads. (In fact, think Squad Leader, if that means anything to you).

If you want something at a slightly higher level I would suggest checking out Conquest of the Aegean (or the forthcoming Battles of the Bulge), also by Matrix. Personally I love this one and find it very accessible.

Andrew,if that was meant for me why am I mistaken ?The vids I saw only showed squad level play,is there more ?
I was also relying on the reply I had from Chrisol which also says it is mainly squad level.

No, you are correct although there is an operational layer.

Subliminally this is the game you are looking for despite what you may think you want.

From someone who loves the grand strategy, Close Combat has been a staple of mine for years. Absolutely addictive.

I agree with Scout 50, it tends to be addictive. I use it to wait until WIF comes out (hopefully) [:)] and this new version is a huge improvement over the classic CC5 (I'm discovering new tricks every day, unfortunately for my troops)
