For months, England has been trying to trade Luxuries with me for cash. My settings the entire time have been as shown here. But the trade never happens.

Any suggestions on why?

Can it find a trade route to one of your money exporting provinces?  Do you have net money production?   Does England have net luxury production?

Im the one trying to import his luxuries in the PBEM 109 game as Great Britain.

I have trade with Sweden checked, money export checked and luxury import checked.

I send the trades 2 money per luxury, my AI trade guy thinks they will think thats a great trade (which it is) but then its rejected.

Have had other trades (for iron and timber) with Sweden accepted the same turn as luxury trades are rejected.

Frustrating.

Some feedback in the Events of why the trade was rejected would perhaps help. Even if this is a bug, it would help for correctly rejected trades so 1) you knew they were being checked and b) you understood why they were rejected.

Heres a report of what I see when they get rejected.

All PBEM boxes are checked correctly (on both ends from what I see in AKs screenshots), both sides have the appropriate resources, seazones are open, ports are unblockaded, we even have several trades for other commodities that went through just fine.

Well, it may be that by that time in the movement phase, Sweden isn't producing enough luxuries any more.  I'll consider adding additional messages here, but it's not a simple thing to do.

Looking at my development screen, I see I generate 24 Luxuries each month. But my people are expected to consume 21. However, I have a pool of 260. So I would hope I could trade some!

Any word on this?

Can you get money/luxury routes for lesser values established?

Will try next turn. Look at his stockpile though... shouldnt he be able to trade some of that?

It's stockpile, but it's also net income and income within the province.  There are several criteria, all of which must be met.  If you can't get a small (1 for 1) trade going, I'll take a look at the save files and see what's going on.
