For those of you interested...here's an update for the upcoming short campaign.

* The campaign will be between 3 to 7 nodes.
* Map #1a is done as far as terrain detailing...#2a is 75% done and #3a is about 50% ( #3 is the easiest as it covers the thinnest eastern part of Betio, so it should detail quickly )
The maps are the "new" version of the one posted in this thread. In my opinion they look even better and represent the landscape in a more historical light.
* I have completed the positioning of defensive strongpoints and obstales on #1. (Special Thanks to Redleg for his maps and input)*I have purchased the Japanese forces that will be encountered in the first battle. I will continue placing them tonight and try to get to the Marine units that will serve as the AUX forces sometime tomorrow.

From the number of downloads (17 at the time of this posting) I see there is some interest in this topic. That really serves as a boost to fuel my drive...so I'll keep burning the midnight oil.

I hope that everyone has enjoyed the map #1 preview...and I promise only better in the campaign!

Thanks for the update, I would really like to see the other maps as they are done. If you don't mind sharing that is.
