Ground combat screen

Is there any info anywhere on what I'm looking at? I've done a seach and found nothing relevent.

you are looking at the ground units that are fighting each other and the number next to the unit is the assault value.

you are looking at the ground units that are fighting each other and the number next to the unit is the assault value.

And once you know that, you know everything the rest of us know. The Vanilla WiTP ground combat screen is rather sparse on information.

The assault values sudenly changes (I don'y mean any losses sustain in the combat) half way through the combat. I'm assuming the first is for the defender firing which only shows those that do fire while the second is the full AV for the unit. All I do know is the defender gets to fire first.

When watching that screen gets tedious,(and it does....quickly), you can set the time limit on just about every combat step in the game, which makes it more playable,(for me anyway.)

iirc, you see (during assaults) unadjusted AV, number will decline as defender shoots at it,

then the number will change to adjusted AV (and number will generally decline as the combat progresses)...

at the end, the number returns to unadjusted AV.
