the left one in front is Sugiyama Hajime, the other one i do not recognize, could be Terauchi Hisaichi. Photo could be taken after both were promoted to field marshal in June 1943.

Yes, the Tabby. The Japanese bought some DC-3s before the war and cloned them. It was probably the best land based transport they had.
