how do you get CSA to start first in pbem game

You can't. The USA player always starts PBEM. It has no impact on the outcome, though.

Gil will probably explain it better but both players need to be using the same version for combatable reasons. It has to do with the changes that are made to the program.

Only Eric can explain it, since he's the programmer, but I do know that you can't start PBEM without having the same version. Has to do with file structures not matching up, or something like that.
