Please don't let RHS die

The major problem I have always had with the RHS group is the lack of data input discipline. That is to say that Sid was so involved in updating so many scenarios with every update and/or correction that mistakes were made frequently. I know now is not the time for reexamination with AE coming on line, but, the RHS concept is a great concept and should not be left to die.

IIRC, Sid said about 6 months ago he would look at the finished AE project with a thought to make another mod.

CHS and RHS both had many wonderful and novel inclusions which were missing from vanilla.
RHS put a lot of folks off because it was kept open-ended and public in its' contributions, so every time a new idea was brought in, a new patch changed everything, and this was nearly a daily event.
As a tester, I started and re-started over 200 times, easy.

From the AE forums, I know many concepts of both CHS and RHS made the grade, when heretofore they were given the shortshrift for vanilla and its' patches.

The AE team avoided the pitfalls of public/daily scrutiny by not revealing every nuance till near completion,(IMHO), and therefore only risked putting off only those lacking patience, or faith in the project, or both.

My perspective of RHS was only as a tester. One can only look at people actually working on extended mods with much awe, if not some form of reverance.

Well put, M10bob. While, CHS and then RHS improved the game greatly, I think in the end RHS ran into too many hard-coded barriers. Many of the issues appear to be already addressed while others will be moddable with the new editor. If RHS gets new life, it seems more reasonable to do it within AE.
