Hey guys,

To tide you over until Monday, I just uploaded the new Admiral's Edition Intro Movie to our Members Club. If you've registered your copy of War in the Pacific, you'll see it under My Games in your War in the Pacific Private Downloads. Enjoy.

Regards,

- Erik

Cool movie. I usually go the NOVIDEO route, so I haven't seen it before just now, but nice work.

Nice movie Guys[;)] Any way at the last 1/4th of the movie i didn't have sound in it and it looked like 2 scenes overlaying one another[:(] I got Some Marines landing somewhere and scenes of aircombat on it.

They're supposed to be that way, frames dissolving into each other.

Well I like it too but I'll stick with the original one - the music in the new one isn't as punchy, and the videos that were selected were quite one-sided (loads of Pacific islands action, no IJA mainland stuff... But well I can see the "Admiral" part in there). Moreover the WitP one was telling us a story (at least Ive always saw it that way btw). Laaaa-Laaaa-lalalalaaaaa-la-la-laaa!

I don't think I have ever seen the one for WitP. I did the NOVIDEO thing based on UV. [8D]

I liked it!

Funny thing though, I go back to WitP to watch the movie for it, and it doesn't have video! Strange.

I normally did the NOVIDEO thing too so it has been a long time since I have seen it.

Thanks for sharing this with us. I usually watch the video the first time I fire up a game, it's good that's out of the way. [;)]

Why oh why, does Martrix seem intent on perpetuating a culture that makes WitP players seem to be an exclusive club or cult. The policy of restricting the AE manual and intro movie to 'subscribers' to WitP does nothing to attract new buyers and everything to generate resentment on the part of those who might become buyers and players, but are excluded on account of not having bought in to the previous iteration.

Making this material available to all can do nothing to reduce sales but everything to attract new players.
