1948 Week 7 Bears vs Eagles

I thought this game would be a blowout and it started out as such with the Bears taking a 21-0 lead late into the 3rd quarter. Fumbles and poor passing by Sid Luckman allowed the Eagles to creep back into it at 21-17 with about 2:00 remaining in the 4th quarter. With the Bears trying to run time off the clock, Johnny Lujack fumbled and the Eagles picked it up and ran in it for a TD to make the score 24-21. The Bears returned the ensuing kickoff to their 30. Sid Luckman then completed his first pass since early in the 3rd quarter for 20 yards to mid-field. His next throw was perfect as he hit his receiver in stride down the middle for a 50 yard TD. The Eagles moved the ball inside Bear territory but ran out of time and downs.
