When loading AE from the game menu, it automatically loads as a full screen. My lap top is set up with a second monitor so I can work on different tasks at once but I need AE to load as a window screen to make it work. How do you change the setting ?
Thank you.

Was wondering that myself.

Look in your "What's New" readme file for instructions on that. Basically, you need to add a command line switch to the target for your "Quick Start" shortcut.

Create a shortcut to the War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe if you did not during the install. Rightclick on the shortcut, select Properties from the menu, pick the Shortcut Tab, and add [space]-w to the end of the target string. Should look something like this:
"C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -w

I've done that with the desktop icon for the shortcut but it does not seem to work. Do I need to do it with the shortcut in the start folder instead?

Hi,
Did you change the desktop shortcut to actually point to the game first instead of the game menu?
"C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -w

Mine works fine off the desktop shortcut. Did you remember to but the space in?

OK, thanks guys, I got it to work windowed by altering the quick start shortcut as directed, not the desktop shortcut - that did not work in my Vista system at least. But now a new question...the window is small, only part of my screen and will not re-size. Is that normal? Or can I re-size it somehow to enlarge it? My gaming area does not seem to adjust to take advantage of my wider screen.
EDIT -
NEVER MIND...SORRY! I did not realize until I read the product page that the game only runs in 1024 x 768, whether windowed or full screen. I guess I can live with that quirk...probably too difficult to re-wire the game to adapt to modern wide screens. So off to war I go...
