I'm using a 23 inch Acer monitor with a Radeon 4890 video card running Vista64 and 8 gigs of memory AMD 5000+ processor.

I may move to my older AMD 2600+ with 2 gigs RAM and hook up a 32 inch Samsung HDTV that can display at 1024x760.

I have 24 inch monitors on both my quad Mac and on my Imac, but it doesn't help: the game is still ind-boggling...

Although the game supports oly 1024 resolution, on full screen it looks good and since there are no very small details, I find it OK (although I would prefer a full 1900 resolution with zoom ability[:'(]

I use a 24" Wide / Flatscreen at 1920 x 1200 - WitPAE looks great in full-screen mode.

I was running on a 24" 1920x1080. It looked ok.
But now i am running it in windowed mode so it fills about half the screen on one side and running excel on the other side of the screen so i can just click between them with having any Alt-Tab delays or redraw issues.

32" Full HD Samsung LCD TV here - in windowed mode   go figure - powered by a Sapphire Radeon HD4870 which itself is fed by a Phenom II 940BE

Start by reading the whats new file.
You need to make sure that it is not pointing to the autorun file, but the real .exe

Windowed works REAL nice.

Brad how are you doing that? I could not get it to go full screen mode as the picture sits dead center - and small with black screen border all around. I am using a 24" flat screen as you are.

Also, I have window mode set and it does work. Has anyone had trouble moving from the game to the WIP Staff program when both are running?

My native resolution I'm currently running is 1605x1050 and it looks good.


The Samsung HDTV I'm going to try out this weekend is an older TV that only goes to 720dpi. I hooked up a laptop a while ago to it. It only has a VGA input and will only display 1024x760 max for computer input. I fired up Civ3 and IL2 and it looked good. The actual images were larger than I expected as its a pretty large monitor.

The machine I'm going to try out has a Radeon XT850. If the output is like what I got with the laptop, it should be pretty interesting to see. I'm hoping to get the same larger than normal images. That would be very cool.

Then I'll have to figure where to set everything up....

Is it stable in windowed mode? I never had much luck in that mode in WITP -- if I clicked outside the window, I'd get trouble. I have a 30-inch widescreen, so windowed would be nice if it worked smoothly...

Never mind the largest - I'm having to run on a 14" *old* CRT, with an out-of-focus red gun.

play AE on Sony 40w4000 full HD 102 cm (40") res 1920x1080 at 3,5 meters of my seat, with 1 or 2 mojito's !!!

I'm playing on a 42" monitor in what appears to be full screen mode, but the text is so damn small! Any suggestions on what I might try to get the text and icons to show up bigger?

Screen resolution is 1280 by 768, Monitor is 1680 by 1050. [:'(]

Use your GPU scaling & assignment functions to split (thplit) the top and bottom portions of the display to your two auxiliary monitors, and put cropped the map on your forty-two.  It works for me.

Pro tip: You may then track this forum on monitor four.  Just in case new info comes up.

I used a projector and the wall for about a month. It was pretty cool <grin>.

I tried on 46" Full HS TV. But normally I play WITP on 22" widescreen monitor.
