[&:][&:]For the life of me I can not remember what the generic name is/was for New Jersey Troops. Anybody know of the top of their heads?

Examples
Indiana=Hoosiers
Ohio=Buckeye
Iowa=Hawkeye
North Carolina=Tarheels

Thanks in advance, I've had this running around my head all day and can't find anything outside of calling the state the Garden State, Clam state, or the Pathway of Revolution State.[&:][&:]

I still haven't thought of what it would be. If I come across something definitive I'll let you know.

Thanks I remember reading it once, but not where. It keeps bouncing around inside my head. I always hate it when I can't remember something.[:@]

I could be wrong, but I've spotter a couple of references to Clam Catchers.

I've gone through a few of my Civil War books and the only "slang" term I have found is "Jersey Boys".
