Strange ship movements

I've been letting the PC do a computer-vs-computer game waiting for the written manual manual to arrive, and wanting to get an idea, how the AI works. It has been working great, but in february 1942 I started to see some strange ship movements. Several allied CA's seemed to 'jump' from their bases to the seas around Java in a single turn, but I wasnt sure, if it was me not paying enough attention to the movements.

But tonight I got proof of the problem. On the 1. of march 1942 both Lexington and Enterprise are docked at Suva and Hermes at Triconmalee. On the 2. of march all 3 carriers form a TF together with some CA's and DD's positioned just west of Perth. I had save-files for both days and checked them to see, that it was no mistake on my side. It wasnt - the ships have somehow miracosly jumped several thousand miles in one day.

Have anybody had similar experiences, or is it just my game, thats corrupt for some reason? Or is it part of the design, that the AI can 'cheat' in this way?

BTW: I havent been looking very closely at the japanese forces, so I dont know, if the problem exists regarding them too.

I hope someone can give me an answer. Thanks.

I posted something that may be related in the sticky threads above. In my case, though, the units teleported back the next turn. Put this in the stickies.
