Odd shell holes

Anybody else notice that in v7.1 some artillery damage, in my case the Russian 122 or 152mm, shows on the map as the icon you get when applying light damage to buildings, rather than typical shell holes?

Hi Steve,
Yes I saw this odd behavior before! I guess it happens mostly with terrain tiles that have certain attributes like negative heigth values. Did you use any sort of beach terrain? Something else?

I noticed this during a pbem:
an hex where, after some mortars shell dropped, this strange graphic appeared.
In the hex there is a wood and some mines, too.
what do you think it looks like? It could sound like the light damages on building Remf was mentioning...

Hi Harry,
Yes, most of the odd damage icons were on shallow water hexes, or very near to same. However, I did find some well inland from the riverbank.

This is exactly what I'm seeing.

I did also see the odd wrecked building graphics (wooden building style) on some Lost Victories maps, whrer the node designer úsed the black volcanic beach tile as "eye candy" feature (dark russian soil). I still assume that it´s either the tile and/or a negative height combination to produce this.
I´m now trying to recreate it in a way that these tiles show up on shelled wood hexes. Looks like smashed trees lying around in the hex!

I have seen this on every type of terrain. It appears to be random.
