Graphic display issues

This may be a minor nitpick, but I've found both the font size and the way the various onscreen reports are displayed very hard to read. At times the combat reports are being displayed as 'white on white' or 'red on white', both which are very hard to read. The text is also small enough that with my aging eyesight, I develop eyestrain fairly quickly from having to strain to see it.
Slowing down the speed of the displays helps (have it at 2.0 secs now), but is it possible to consider looking at making the displays both clearer to read and slightly bigger?

You can use alternative font. I use it and it makes the text a lot more readable. You can get the alternative font by using the -altFont command line switch.

Had the same Problem. -altFont works
It also help a lot starting the game in window mode.
Unfortunately you can not play reasonable in 1280X1024.
I wish there was a solution/fix to this.
This Problem, I call it so, is one of the less thing I dont´t like on the game.

I just read this in the WhatsNew PDF. file in the game directory...
" There are a number of command line switches that may be useful to players. To use these, Right
click to edit the Properties on the “Quick Start” shortcut to the game (located in your Start Menu
folder for War in the Pacific: Admiral’s Edition). You’ll want to add these to the end of the
“Target” field to get them to work"
...then it has a list of the command line switches.
Hope I said that well enough.
