Can't download it from Matrix's homepage (page cannot be displayed) and the official Sudg download page hasn't been updated yet.
Oups?

The link works and the patch is great.
Thanks a lot team.
I've already made a few alterations to the races' graphics.

Like the way you implemented the mods Andrew.
Cheers.

Some are based on existing sci-fi movies...
For the purpose of this post, here's a smaller, compressed version of the races.
It's fun though!

Double Wow! Those are some great looking aliens, madmax88. What are they, wax models?
Is the (row 2, col 3) alien from The 5th Element?

Most are wax models.
Yes, it's a mangalore from the fifth element.
I like having two different humans factions in the game too (row1-col 1-2). Federation and a rebelious faction.
Also named row2col1 the Purlaines.
Btw andrew. I don't know if this could be a bug with the new patch but here it is:
A played two or three games with 150stars on advanced, and in late game, i come under fire from an armada of ships from different races (and this is excellent), but each of the ships has only a single crewman onboard. The ai must be trying to produce as many ships as he can while unable to upkeep them.
So it's pretty funny when two dozen ships are flotting lifeless over my homeworld after they've been hit a few times only.
I feel like the ai is too slow when exploring early in the game, so i end up with half the galaxy and all the money while the enemy ai is only trying to produce an armada of drones...

Ah, the Purlaines. Can't live without them
I thought I made the AI even more aggressive than normal with respect to expansion
I'll play through an advanced game and see what the AI is up to. Maybe, it's too aggressive near the end of the game! Sounds funny, though. Drones!
rhohltjr, read the readme.txt file for an explanation on how you can add your own aliens, ships and fonts.

As for designing new race portraits
What are the two other smaller file size for?
I don't see them used in the game.
It doesn't seem to work

Hi... I downloaded and installed the update, but when I load the game it still says I have version 1.1.
Also I am probably not as good at this as others, but how do you use the mods? Does it have to be update version 1.2? I am confused. Please help.
Thanks

Yes, mods only work with version 1.2.
Make sure you have downloaded the right patch, then install it in your sudg directory.
Then look into this directory, the readme.txt should include all the new information.

I've designed the latest patch to be the only one you need. You should be able to take an unpatched version of the game and patch it to version 1.2, with only the 1.2 patch. No need to patch with the 1.1 version. I suppose, in this case, it's not technically a patch, but then you probably don't care about software development jargon anyways
Make sure you read the readme.txt file as it contains the instructions on how to do mods. I'll wait here in case you have problems.
I figured out what was wrong

Yahoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for your help! Part of the problem was I didn't think to read which directory path it was installing to....

Ooooops.... The install file aparently wanted to install to path
C:\Matrix Games\etc....
vice the original install directory path of
C:\MatrixGames\etc....
Note the difference? No space in between "MatrixGames" in the original install. As it installed it asked for the path and I corrected it. Now it works.

Thank you for your help, and also for your work on this program. It is a really great program.
Thanks again!
