Some years ago there was a very helpful document produced for stock WitP. It's still available in the list of important threads on the WitP Forum:

I wonder if anyone has plans to do something similar for AE? I have begun compiling some notes gleaned from this forum, but I'm really a noob when it comes to WitP--I would be sure to get something crucially wrong.

I've been compiling notes myself in order to ramp up for the GC. I'm a noob too.
