Problems with MCLV patches

well, there was no response that way, let try this again:

first, bit about myself... I bought Steel Panthers in 1994, and it has been on my harddrives, in one form or another, since then. I first played SPWAW in Korea, and it helped make those long nights on duty go by a little quicker. This is my first time posting on your forum, although I have visited it quite often.
I recently purchased SPWAW MC:LV. I put it on my HD yesterday and downloaded all the patches. I figured out the dual folder problem (matrixgames vs matrix games) and installed the sound patch and SPWAW 7.1 patch without problem.
But what is the deal with the MCLV patches? Where do they go? I put them in the Matrixgames\steel panathers folder and that doesn't work. I put them in the mega campaigns\lost victories folder and that doesn't work. Both ways, it still says version 7.0. Whats the deal?
I would like to get this up and running and try out MCLV, I've been waiting to play it for awhile. Thanks in advance

LV Sound patch goes in the MatrixGames\SPWAW\snd folder, the other LV patches get extracted into the MatrixGames\SPWAW\MegaCam\Lost Victories folder overwritting everything within it. Make sure you install LV #1 patch first followed by the newest. Only the SPWAW main menu will show version 7.1 (does it) the MegaCampaign pages don't show updated versions.

thanks for the help, gmenfan.
well, if thats the case then things are ok. but is there a way to check if the patches for MCLV have worked? the main screen for SPWAW says it is version 7.1.

If you check the date of the *.dat files within the Lost Victories most (not all) should be very new, March 2002 and April 2002 dates. You should be good to go, for more info on the patches or questions about SPWAW and MegaCampaigns or enomolies experienced after applying them we have several dedicated threads in SPWAW forum for everyone to use. The latest patch (todays) corrects several scenarios where t26m.33 act like T-34's. This has been fixed.
