An apology

Just after it came on the net I stumbled across this free game offer and I downloaded it. I had one bash at it but it seemed awful slow and perhaps worse that SP1. So I sent in a sarcastic comment. I went back a few days later and saw that I had gotten some replies - all along the lines of '...you're wrong about this game...have a proper try with it etc'. I left it a few weeks as any self-respecting, short-sighted knee-jerk reactionist would and then went and had another go with the fast artillery setting on and the messages speeded up. And I am hereby confirming that all the replies to my initial message were absolutely correct.

I most humbly apologise. This really is an excellent overhaul/upgrade to a game I played an awful lot of (SP1). I couldn't believe it when I selected a scenario talking about British glider-borne troops in the jungle and when I fired it up there came the GLIDERS!!! Fantastic!

I have learned a few things also. I came in guns blazing with that first message and was neatly ambushed when I should have sent in a recon patrol to size things up before making up my mind. (Life imitating art?) I've got the repliers to thank for that. Thanks guys, and sorry.

Hi Grah

No problem, I did just about the same thing with 101st Airborne and the desiger and the games helped me out and it turned out that I really enjoyed the game. Welcome and I hope you get many hours of enjoyment from the game.

Problem is now you are hooked you will have to endure:

1. Lack of sleep; and

2. Relationship stress.

All from playing too much of the aforementioned game.

That's so right. The missus is happy enough at the moment but too many more 4am finishes and I'm in trouble.
