Dispersing survivors

What exactly happens when infantry survivors disperse, thus effectively destroying the unit? Do they get lost, go to shock, or what?

Dispersing soldiers is probably a very good addition to the game rules, but as the game otherwise tries to be as realistic as possible, I'm finding this has started to bug me. How come these dispersed survivors are never found (at least not before the battle ends, I'm not sure if they count as casualties), never recover? Ok, maybe in a remote forest they could be lost forever and starve or bleed to death, but what about on the streets of a city occupied by friendly troops? Note that I did not fight in the second world war (or any war) so maybe this is realistic, feel free to enlighten me.

You may think that I whine about meaningless things but doesn't that mean the game is superb when there are no real flaws? Image

Dont worried about them Templar. I ask the same question in a past post, and the troopers told me : mop up police round them up or they just go awl, Problaby get pick up and are sent to slave camps. Image ect... along these lines.
