"Return same route" problem.

I have this TF, it was Continuous Supply convoy, that had waypoints. LA- PH - hex SE of Christmas I. - Suva.

However, when TF started to return, it did not follow the same route, but plotted course directly to LA, course was not passing hex just SE of Christmas Island or PH (where it was supposed to refuel). So taskforces seem not to obey "Return same route".

Save is attached to this post, rename .txt extension to .pws.

Picture, where you can see it's definitely not plotting to Waypoint 2, which is hex just SE of Christmas Island. Couse was not passing Waypoint 1 either (PH), but was plotted straight to LA.

If you want a TF to follow a specific path - try using the "DIRECT" option. Otherwise, TFs tend to decide which path to take on their own.

I use DIRECT about 98% of the time, but there are uses for other missions. One example, for me, was for fast transport missions in the Guad scenario from Rabaul to Finschhaven. If I used direct, I went South of New Britain and got very close to Port Morseby. But if I used "normal" then I went North of New Britain - like I wanted to go. So other than direct has its uses, but DIRECT is default for me.

OK, so it's WAD, not bug? I was wondering, since path did not go even near to PH...

Do you have a save before the TF set it's destination? Perhaps just before it arrived at Suva.

I have the autosaves from turn before, but nothing before that. Have bad habit saving over same slot.

I can see the result but the code to process it looks OK. I suspect something in the old WITP auto convoy functions are taking over the TF but can't find anything. Pretty much need a save just before the Tf is routed.

Anyone got one?
