Nice looking units (love the shadow of the plane on the hexmap)

Decent front to focus on

Casual and vets welcome: lets not make it too over the top keep it focused at that audience etc etc. Looks good!

Keep up the good work on this title. I assume it is a lot like Commander: Europe At War in the way it plays?

It's more like the Panzer General series actually, in that the campaigns consist of linked scenarios with your forces gaining experience from each battle and carrying it forward, which you can then use to upgrade them with new abilities (for example, Infantry can earn "Sharpshooters" which gives +5 to Infantry Attack, or Extra Ammo or "Defilade" which increases Artillery Defense, etc.). In addition, through your success you gain more resources which you can use to recruit new units to your core force or upgrade the equipment of your existing units.

Any chance of a top-down view with counters?

Call me a grump, but I always hate 'toy-soldier' view in games like this. [:)]

I vote for counters too, but overall welcome a game that inherits the fun playing aspects of the PG series.  Just hope it is a decent AI and not dependent upon scripted scenarios that require some sort of puzzle-solving skills as opposed to real tactical common sense.

I love the initial look. Panzer General is one of my all time favorite games, and I would love to have a newer sister to it.

Yep, looks really like PG in its later stages (PG2/ People Gen). Nowadays you have scores of free scenarios for People Gen-WW2 mod.
For me the question is : what has this game *more* than PG ? Full 3D for sure, instead of perspective 2D, but it's not very important for me.

It looks like Memoir 44 on the PC!

If it's anything like Panzer General 1 with the ability to nurture a battle group through the war, I'm very excited about this. The Kursk screenshot on the Dev's site looks awesome.

Throw in counters with some basic NATO symbols as an option instead of the little plastic soldiers and airplanes and I'll buy.  The figurines were the one thing that turned me off PG and onto TOAW.  I really can't role play being a commander in a HQ when looking at the little fellas.
