AI vs. AI Continuous - how long in real time?

1 month in-game takes 3 hours(!!!) of realtime to complete on my computer.
I have an Athlon X2 4800 processor.
Is that time normal for that processor?
Is there some trick to speeding up turn processing time for testing purposes? (apart from getting a faster processor...)
I have the patch and the -dual switch enabled...

You can adjust the animations for each category down to the bare minimum. Other than that you would have to turn them off.

Wouldn't dream of it, Andy. [:-]
I'm trying to set up a kind of quick version of a mid-42 scenario.
Planning on running a handful of December 8th campaigns in continuous turns to summer '42 and then picking the most interesting setup to continue with.
