Birth of America 2: Have Questions & Need Answers

Fellow Arm Chair Generals:

I've been eyeballing the following Matrix game - Birth of America 2: Wars in America

as a possible purchase, but need answers to the following questions before I click the "buy" button!

(1.) How popular is this game? Is there a good following?
(2.) Is there a healthy PBeM environment for it?

I am interested in the American Revolution, and enjoy strategic-level treatments of this war. I own the old Avalon Hill 1776 board game and Birth of America 2 seems to take a similiar slant? I would like to find like-minded gamers who would be interested in PBeM.

But... I also don't want to shell out over $70.00 to buy Birth of America 2 and have it moth balled because there are no gamers interested in PBeM. I really don't want to resort to just playing the AI.

Looking for some answers? [&:]

There are still enough PBEM players for BoA2, but most of them can be found at the Ageod forums. I myself have played a handful of BoA2 PBEM games and really enjoyed them. The French and Indian War campaign is a good PBEM for BoA2 newbies.

Thank you for your reply!

I've found my way to the AEOD Forums and have registered as LordLefty.

Hopefully we will run into each other there?

Need to work my way through the user manual and tutorial scenario... then I am willing to give PBeM a try!

You're welcome.

You can reach me here or on the Ageod forum when you're ready for a PBEM.
