Land bases with no units or supplies are very difficult to spot. For example, there is one such base here... find it out -- I stumbled on it purely by accident: [:D]

This is the base, btw. Perhaps land bases with no flags could have a bigger dot to mark them? Or a little rectangle?

Even an arrow saying "<-- Base is here" would work (hahaha) [:D]

That base is one that flags up in the Ops report as failing the garrison requirements - took me ages to find it.
I admit this is the hardest of many 'dot bases' to find. Perhaps it conveys the problems of the leaders of the time due to poor maps.

"dot bases" are dots because they have no airbase or port. Yeah that particular one is tough to find but necessary because it starts with an insufficient garrison.

Took me a while to find it. For this base the garrison is irrelevent, there's nothing to destroy.

You might find reason to put some supply there [;)]

As Allies, I definitely want that base getting garrison problems....that is, if this one is in Burma as it looks like. [:D]

Actually I see two of them on that picture [:)]

Btw there is some dot base in China which has 100 resources in it, I almost retreated my troops before I realized that...

If that had been in Indochina or Burma..I'd suspect heroin laboratory...[:D]&nbsp; 100 resources but nothing showing on map...hmm...[:'(]

Some islands have the same problem -- the dot is too small to clearly see it. Many times I click on an island just to see if there is a dot there or not.

I'd say we need a bigger dot [:D]

Hell, you're right!...I'm starting to get spots before my eyes[;)]

I found that if you punch the " r " key and look at the road network it can help you find some " dot " bases. There are some some places that might make nice air bases depending upon how ones game is going. And also a 121 resource dot base near Nanchang (sp ? ) IIRC.

It's like an "I Spy" game in here.[:'(]

Just pull up the base list, reference the name, and click on the right side column, and poof, it will take you to the hex.
