My physical copy of AE shipped over a week ago via USPS, but the tracking # doesn't "track".

Considering this is the US Post office, is this tracking # actually what the PO terms a confirmation order #, and if so, how do I track my delivery?

There is no reliable way that I'm aware of to track a normal USPS shipment. Their "tracking" numbers have been useless in my experience, unless you pay for their version of next day/second day. We offer other truly trackable shipping (like UPS) for those who want tracking. USPS is not considered a trackable option.

Once we give them the package, we have no way of tracking it either. The USPS in some cases is also quite slow, in other cases they are quite fast, it seems impossible to determine when they will be quick or slow.

If you want to e-mail me your order ID, I can at least confirm the exact date when we shipped it out.

We're both in CT. I got my shipping confirmation email on 8/11/09.

And my package arrived yesterday.

That's what I and my PO suspected, but then Matrix sent me a "smartlabel" link and lo and behold, it tracked my order to the Stratford PO as of 8-19.

Lessons learned: if you order by USPS, ask Matrix for the smartlable link to track your package, otherwise it won't track.
